    "arrested a 17-year-old man in Newcastle "

    Man? Average 17 year old might look old these days but given the stupidity of the suspected crimes, child might be a better word!

      Don't get his lawyers started. Calling him a child just trivialises the crimes committed. These are adult crimes and he should be tried as an adult.

        @Irongut

        "...These are adult crimes and he should be tried as an adult..."

        What a load of rubbish, he is over the age of criminal responsibility, but he is still a child, he should be tried for his (alledged) crimes, but treated as what he is: A child.

        There is no such thing as an adult, or otherwise, crime, just a crime.

          Re: @Irongut

          The Police will treat him as an adult at 16, the courts at 18, and HMP service 21.

    "TeaMp0isoN" or "PCeU"?

    Which one is cooler? Both or neither? Capitalisation fail to be cool or capitalisation fail to be cool? And, more importantly, does this mean that our beloved custodes are now indistinguishable from gangsta rappas? I think we should be told, etc etc.

    more to the point....

    Did he encrypt his hard drive and use a huge assed long password that will keep them guessing, or did he do a france and bend over at the first sign of trouble?

    What's the bet

    this guy comes up with a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome at some point during the trial? Most likely right after he's found guilty and is facing jail for umpteen years...

    I lay odds of 8:1 in favour.

    With their attitude it's no surprise

    With an attitude that they are above the law it's no surprise these clowns got nabbed. Now we'll see if they get a slap on the wrist or proper punishment.
