I'm sure most if not all of the readers here would back up the case if anything is needed. I know as an American reader, I would do anything to help out with a case like this to show that We should be able to choose what We do with our technology, and our bodies.

Thats why I dont bother with remembering passwords anymore. I just use passwordsafe (free at http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/ )

Of course this brings the problem that you have to remember the original password, and if someone got into that then they would have all of your passwords. If your really paranoid you can put your password file inside something like a truecrypt volume.

At the most you then have 2 passwords to remember, you can also bring it with you (portable cd/usb etc) just make sure you always have a good backup of it.

Ill grab my coat, its the one with the 30 character randomly generated password written on the post-it in the inside left pocket.

It wasn't working in IE, i did take a screenshot of google saying that google wasn't safe for your computer. It will cause my joy for time to come. I also sent the an email to El Reg, this was about 10-15 minutes after it had started (i had to find the email address and take the screenshots)

I did notice that there was sometimes a server error, and once it said i was unauthorized to access that page. The really odd part was that under certain search conditions the sites showed up as fine, i believe it was with quotes but am not sure.

The most annoying part was not that it was indicating that all sites were harmful, it was that to get to the sites from google you would have to copy and paste. that and didn't have link for cached pages (why would they cache a potentially harmful website.)

Grabbing my coat, its the one in the back as I was here first, nothing more to see.

So is this where I go watch one of those TV shows that have child birth, show babies right after being born, or on some of the smaller cultures that dont wear shirts. then sue the company that made the film for producing child p0rn, sue the channel that aired the show for promoting child p0rn and sue the parents of the child for letting their child be part of a p0rn?

I have seen a few informational shows that have nearly fully exposed pre-teen, teen, and adult nudity, these being publicly aired.

Anybody with half a brain, or that had a date as a teenager knows that this is fairly common, it has just become easier to do with technology. In high school I remember several people talking about their sexual acts, and discussing who is and isn't active. So either this nude photo was shown to someone who was offended (trying to be a good child and do what they are told is right) or someone who was careless and either let someone see it or talked about it when in earshot of someone with authority who thought it wrong.

Teaching only abstinance is very ignorant of the fact that we can't control hormones, and we can't watch the children 24/7. the more you try to control something, the more you realize you dont really have control.

I think the t's were crossed one to many times and decided they would take a break. After which negotiations took place and they requested that they be warned before they are crossed, With Cisco really needing the "t" of course they quickly complied.

My favorite excuse would still have to be that they were testing a new cloaking technology and it leaked into the system somehow making the letter t seem nonexistent but actually still there.

Dont let our new alien overlords know that I told you they can't say or translate the letter "t" but "T" works just fine, so they hacked what they thought was the network central (most places use cisco switches so assuming they got there they could expand everywhere else). Of course this will all be gibberish to them as I frequent the use of the "t".

Penguin because i think we all know this was most likely a regexp error. (I really was in the wrong window when i did a search and replace for my translation of the hidden messages in my email. The best for of secret messages, make 20 pages of t's and add your letters in the correct order randomly through your messages, who would think to remove ALL the t's?)

Sounds like it would indeed be easier just to write, or rewrite the application.

Why not just run it all in linux with WINE, except make the application unaware of the other applications, and be able to dedicate a specific amount of memory, and cpu to each app.

oh wait....

So if we follow the trail, it turns back around into just basically that we need an OS that is better at multi-tasking, easy to manage several different services, and has the ability to migrate between hosts, and to not completely kill the OS when one application hangs.

is VMWare running out of ideas? if so I have a few that im sure lots of people would enjoy.

At least firefox updates dont require a restart of your whole computer, because if there is a patch for IE, not only do you have to reboot your computer after installation, but if you dont, they will reboot it for you when your gone.

After you click restart later, it keeps asking, and then eventually will reboot the computer on its own. Firefox over IE any day, except when i need to automate a script, then i use AUTOIT with the IE addins
