Hubris begets stupidity

I despise when anyone trots out this sort of meaningless fluff.
We *have* to get it right, because the consequences if we don't are too horrible to elucidate, much less, apparently, put in any work to avoid, given how little effort is put into the "control problem".
We will get it wrong, and we will deserve it. These entrepreneurs think they're going to technology their way into godhood, and the flabbergasted looks on their face when they break everything will almost make the impending doom worth it.
