Yup

Over the years, from time to time, I'd put forward a plan for some sort of option (backups etc). My line manager would say "You'll never get that through" and often would even refuse to put it forward. But my reply would be that this was what needed to be done. If the brass opted not to do it we (I) couldn't get the blame if we had the email trail.
