One problem with RHEL it's that it's license activation process adds complexity if you want use it in automated systems like CI/CD. In those cases having the possibility to throw a CentOS at them and be done with it, with the confidence that your test environment will work the same way as your production system it's a godsend. Also, having local mirror of the repository is a pain, but with CentOS it was easy.

To be fair, most ISP routers comes with integrated FW with quite a few useful rules, like dropping packets from the WAN interface that use the local network IPs

Re: Firefox has it's advantages over Waterfox when using older Core2Duo processors.

It's not that the browser cares, it's just that it has been compiled for CPUs with SSE support (SSE is an extension of x86 for vectorial operations) to increase performance.
