OK, boomer? Gen-X-ers, elder millennials most likely to name their cars, says DVLA

My 80's Audi's called Rusty, rather unoriginally. It's no longer rusty after much time and expense but the name will stay forever.

My old V6 Audi was named Growly Bear by my then-6-year-old daughter.

Mine was also still glowing nicely after about 11 years.

I also brought it to New Zealand with me when I emigrated, presumably in breach of some laws, whoops.

Unfortunately I shut it in the door last year and broke the plastic part.

Thumb Up

Quite right

NZ has immigration rules for a reason - for example you have to be able to speak English to a resonable standard, BMI under 35 (may have been lowered to 30 sionce we came here) and you also have to prove your profession will be a benefit to the economy. They don't let just anyone in you know!

The BMI thing is not a hard and fast rule - if your BMI is higher you just have to take additional test to prove you're healthy.

Or if you have a few million dollars to invest they forget all of that and welcome you with open arms (yes, really)

Re: Know Your History

"To say that the Bible is not historically accurate is to say that all historical records of antiquity are also inaccurate"

Who was it that said "History is written by the winners" ?

All history texts are subjective, from the view of the author.

It's similar in NZ

The situation is similar in New Zealand.

Another reason why myself most of my friends download is that NZ TV is broadcast in narrowscreen and most shows, Heroes being a prime example, are cut so they can be shown at 8:30pm
