If it was Notes/Domino you'd likely need to add two more zeros before it fell over. A much maligned but actually very well built product that just looked a bit meh to the end users.... Finally killed off by IBM's over zealous license monitoring tool that took much more time to maintain than Domino itself...
It reminds me of when Ubiquity did the same a few years ago. At the time it was the last straw for me, along with their, then, unreliable management software and awful RMA process. All have been improved since, but I think you have to assume that data will be collected without your permission and decide; firstly, do you mind and secondly, if you do, consider who they are.
I used Ubiquiti until they sent all the telemetry back to China, even when you turned off the setting. Only after they got caught did they issue a new firmware a few months later.
Cisco may be more expensive, but the Meraki management site is very easy to use and they are reliable.
Clearly you or your love done has never been in that position. It is a very difficult time for the whole family and for this to change a difficult decision at the last minute would have been almost unbearable for her and them. If I were you I'd do the decent thing and delete your idiotic comment.
