Will the other games quietly vanish from steam and require a ms / xbox account to play? I have a lot of older games that work just fine as they are now. Steam or not steam but definitely not a ms account.

If they put as much effort into this as they are currently doing with packaging legislation then we are in deep doo doo. I had a meeting a few weeks ago and the comments were interesting.

There were many comments like these.

"Does the government actually know how industry works?"

"Has anyone in the department talked to anyone affected by this?"

"How are we expected to get data when the legislation is not finalised but the reporting period has started?"

The whole meeting, 700 plus people - was a shambles

If they have no clue about what to do with a box or cup then asking for a strategy on complex chip manufacture should make for interesting times.

I do hope the costs are working out for putting power back on the grid. Currently I pay 27 p per kWh but if I put any back on the grid from my solar panels I only get about 4 p. I'd be really annoyed if I charged a car at 27p and they took the charge (with losses) and gave me 4 p per kWh. AND I had to pay to charge it up again. Currently I have to output over 10kWh just to cover the standing charge per day!

Do you have to have a MS account to use W11? Seems they want you to log in to use Teams.

W10 keeps up its insistance I should register with an account.

6 things that are currently / have been wrong with windows 10 for me <rant>

1 Control panel is all over the place

2 "you must register to..." - no I don't

3 "do you want us to share info with Microsoft?" - No I don't - stop asking

4 "here, have some crap we installed that you can’t get rid of" - Really? - "oh and that crap you thought you uninstalled, well there is an update so we are going to reinstall it and give you another go at uninstalling it"

5 "we are going to UPADATE NOW, that evening of games you had planned - Ha ha ha no, oh and that one you were playing, yeah we've flipped you out of the for this notification so good luck ALT TABing through back to that DOS emulator which is running in 480 full screen. That isn't going to happen."

6 The pen tablet I've plugged in years ago does not mean I'm using it as a touch screen device. Please just put it back to how it was/is in 7, XP and 2000 rather than the "pan and scroll" when I want to click on something or select text. Or at least let it be an option.

Please MS... Don’t think you know what I'm using it for, I'm using it as a pen like a mouse NOT as finger / smart phone. The hardware specs alone would show it’s not a smart phone and "not a tablet" option is checked.

Other than that it’s all good, but then I mostly just use it for games.. Mostly.

Can't see any of that being fixed in 11 - Although the update thing has calmed down recently.
