Another name that won't make sense in the long run?
We've had to put up with the meaningless naming of JavaScript for years now (named after Java because it was cool at the time?) and now we've got what could be a useful general-purpose virtual machine spec but it's got the word "Web" at the front, because, like, web is cool at the moment? If we end up running desktop and server apps written in WebAssembly, with no "web" in sight, it'll sound just as silly as JavaScript. I guess we're just lucky that we're past time when "iAssembly" might have been a popular option...
