FCC: T-Mobile US unit gave blind customer the runaround in massive tech support fail

HellDeskJockey-ret

As a T-Mobile USA customer

I’m with the customer on this one. My experiences with T-Mobile support go like this.

T-Mobile support asks you to reboot the device.

If device now works done. Otherwise say it is a network issue and to call back in a few hours.

Repeat until customer realizes they will not get any support.

Your best bet is to reboot then do an internet search

Re: One word:

From my experience they usually start of with "get it working." Security is an afterthought if at atl.

In the USA a court can order restitution as part of the sentencing. Perhaps a better question is why didn't the prosecutors ask the judge to do so.

While this should be illegal sadly this is all too common this side of the pond. Companies ask for huge tax incentives promising gazillions of high paying jobs. Politicians go along looking for the photo op and good press. Thankfully Wisconsin tends to require actual results before paying any money. At least this keeps them from the worst excesses.

Far-right internet haven Parler to be allowed back onto Apple's App Store with added content moderation

Facepalm

If Parler is far right

Then you must think the Guardian a right wing rag. Also that Justin Trudeau is a responsible conservative. See icon

Actually Parler users are rather angry that Parler is allowing Apple additional censorship. Mark Meckler's announcement was savaged in the comment section. I'm not sure how much the app will be used. Also I suspect that if Apple drops them again they will not care.

Re: free speech?

Why did they keep booting lefties your ask? Mostly for violating terms of service.

I'm not threatened by leftist views. But I do find those can only say (obscenity) Trump, insist on their own facts, and post scat pictures annoying and a waste of time. Show up with a reasoned argument and verifiable facts and I'm interested.

Don't you have an IT angle to the Ted Cruz "scandal"

This bill was also introduced in the last congress. From looking at the history it is not going anywhere except to a congressional filing cabinet.

Re: Protected minorities

The site is still busy, logging in is still a bit iffy on day two. But people are coming back. It's almost like there is an untapped market or something.

Re: Who's the audience?

Really, Twitter is banning conservatives so much hat is it now a badge of honor. Also it was very hard to log in to Parler yesterday because so many people were coming back.

Re: And yet no Android version

It might help to remember that Google docs is included in the latest versions of Android. As I have an aversion to installing more apps that works for me. If I have serious writing to do get out the desktop/laptop and have at it. I do use Libre Office on my Linux box.
