On-premise / hosted Exchange services
But does it support non-365 Exchange servers?
The “new” Outlook on Mac does not, which considering it supports IMAP and Gmail natively but not their own, long-standing e-mail servers is very surprising.

Only a couple of years ago a fibre cut took out a data centre in St Asaph, somewhere between Manchester and the DC. It was a shock because there were supposed to be 2 redundant routes coming into opposite sides of the building and travelling separate paths arriving on the opposite sides of Manchester.
The DC owner (also an iomart company) found out that the fibre cables were separately routed… until the last couple of miles or so where they traversed the same farmer’s field who had decided to do some ploughing that night…
Even more shocking was they had found this out years before the incident, had asked for it to be re-routed, and believed it had been done.

That’s twice today. First outage was around 8am and several MS services were dodgy for about an hour.
This morning it affected the Azure portal, Visual Studio Online (my.visualstudio.com) and docs.microsoft.com.
This afternoon I only noticed the Azure portal falling over.
Both times was DNS-related - the name couldn’t be resolved.
I’m a Brit and my .eu domain was paid up till 2027.
I’m not able to get a refund of the fees for time I’m not able to use as they’ve taken away the service I’ve paid for.
They should have just let them lapse at their natural expiry and not allow them to be renewed if you didn’t meet the requirements.
I had already transitioned away from my .eu to a .uk domain when this was first reported in 2018, so it’s no biggie my .eu domain has now been revoked.
However due to moving it between providers and paying for years in advance, it wasn’t due to expire until 2027.
Both eurID and my registrar are keeping quiet when I ask them to refund the registry fees for a service they’ve taken away and I won’t be able to use what I’ve paid for.
