Washington was not considered a "natural born citizen" because there was no US when he was born. He was a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution, and was therefore eligible to be POTUS.
The first 9 and the 12th POTUS' were eligible due to that part of Article 2. All others were born in the US.
"Equity" *is* equality of opportunity. The nice thing about equity is that it includes *everyone*, including right wing white males.
Equity acknowledges that for everyone to have equality of opportunity that there will be some that will require more assistance to reach that goal (i.e. someone coming from poverty will need more assistance than the trust fund kid).

That means that less than 32% of eligible voters actually voted for the orange asshole narcissist convicted felon sociopath con man, and more than two-thirds of the US *didn't* vote for him. This country is setup for minority rule.

The Russian Federation inherited the vast majority of the Soviet Union after it fell, including its permanent Security Council seat at the UN, and the opposition of NATO.
The Russian Federation invaded Ukraine in 2014 and 2022. Had Ukraine been a NATO member they would not be dealing with a war right now.
So yeah, I'm quite sure they would be desperate to join NATO. The only reason they aren't is because the NATO countries didn't want to piss off the Russians. So much for that plan. It's no wonder that Sweden and Finland couldn't join fast enough after Ukraine was full on invaded.
