Access is a RAD (Rapid Application Development) tool. It is NOT a database engine. Your website used either Jet or ACE. It did NOT use Access. In fact Access was probably not even loaded on the server.

Blame Access for everything

Really? Blaming Access for the incompetency of the developer is like blaming the lawn mower for mowing down your prize roses. But the rant made you smile and feel superior because you don't use such a toy.
