I'm used to... Well then You are not flexible enough. It is just like switching to a car with the steering wheel on the other side.
Why can't I just install...
Why can't I run this game...
You can't because the company making it doesn't provide a version for Linux, call them and complain instead of complaining about Linux.
This is just like "Why can't I use diesel in my gasoline car" or "Why can't I use this BluRay disc in my DVD".
Jasper H. Bojesen can not confirm that MS Office 2007 is compliant with the new OOXML ISO standard, which of course is obvious: the standard has been changed by ECMA to comply with comments to the first draft. Jasper has ignored that fact in his answer to the readers of Computerworld Danmark.
Jasper couldn't tell when MS Office will be ISO OOXML compliant.
...is that Microsoft has no product that supports OOXML, not in the first version and not in the current version (adjusted by ECMA).
There are currently two products that supports OOXML: NeoOffice (OpenOffice for Mac OS X) and IBM's Symphony.
morale: don't buy MS products if ypu want to use MS OOXML standard...
It is clearly stated in the EULA (or an addendum to the EULA depending of Windows version) that Microsoft can and will change files on the computer without the users knowledge whenever they find it necessary.
It is furthermore stated that the user do not own the operating system or any components of it.
Noone has ever tried the EULA in a court of law...
btw. I don't care... I got tired of Microsoft and changed to something better.
...but does it run any REAL operating system ?
Something like xBSD, Linux or Solaris...
...and IP54 is NOT what I call rugged... You need IP66 or IP67if You want to take it out in any weather anywhere in the world.
IMHO the military should look at the OLPC instead... the military version could be called OLPS and would need some camouflage.
