Re: Hmm

Back in 2005 I sat on a jury for a pedo trial. The plod knew nothing of IT and were giving evidence that the accused had sophisticated software on his laptop to access the porn. This sophisticated software was IE. I should of fell about laughing but when we were in the jury room the 11 other people knew nothing of IE and only basic stuff about the internet.

Re: "having 25G in the name was too constraining for the scope of the consortium"

You have to asked one of these 5G nutters that if 5G spreads the Corona Virus then why has Japan got the Virus? They don't have 5G

"Given the significant security, privacy, and economic threats posed by Huawei, we strongly urge the United Kingdom to revisit its recent decision, take steps to mitigate the risks of Huawei, and work in close partnership with the US on such efforts going forward," the American gang stated.

As id the American can be trusted with our data and also their own...American Gov can hack everyone but complain bitterly when someone hacks them..

Re: What a bunch of leeches.

I work for a large UK supermarket chain.

They introduced a refund policy a year ago for the clothing range that did not require a receipt or proof of purchase because you can only their their store branded clothes at their stores.

The management where all high fives about his great new policy but would not listen to anyone who said "wait a minute, someone could take advantage of this" because the management know better!!

Well, some customers (well not even customers) decided to take up this great refund policy and would walk into a store pick up a bunch of clothing and walk right round to Customer services to ask for a refund... Bing, there you go Madam, here is your £100 refund in cash.

The hello again the next day and the same story and so on. THEY LOST HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS in 6 weeks until someone on the management team actually took notice.

PS, also they chuck out £1000's of stock each day into the bins, this is not out of date stock but in date stock that the lazy shelf fillers can not be bothered to get out of the packaging, so just leave it in the trugs to be crushed in the cardboard crushers..

Re: Spoofing of phone numbers should be limited

It's funny how none of these organisations will not release even their switchboard number for the CLI

I am always told it's too difficult to do....It's for privacy reasons etc etc

What a load of old claptrap,

I have a BT phone with truecall built-in. The best phone I have had for 3 years and not got a single cold call on it despite getting 10/day before installation.

So now I don't even give my phone details out to any of these organisations, I tell them that if they can not release their CLI then have to post everything out to me. It's more costly for them and time consuming but it's what they want.
