Soviet Union and Germany were not allies. They made a non-aggression agreement in 1939, after UK and France stalled with similar agreement between UK, France and USSR.

UK had the same agreement with Germany since 1938 and Poland since 1934. Polish ministers were regulars at NSDAP rallies.

No, it's not. It is based on Vyatta, which is based on Debian.

OpenWRT is a different animal. The Turris series of routers ship with customized OpenWRT.
