Early adopters delighted as Microsoft pulls plug on Mobile Backend as a Service. Haha, only joking – they're fuming

Microsoft does not discriminate; they hate & destroy everyone equally...

Trust & continuity are not words one uses to describe their products or actions. Dealing with them is like crossing a mine field in a hail storm blind folded. Something going wrong is almost guaranteed. And, most likely, terribly wrong.

Does anyone else suspect that Microsoft created & programmed Donald Trump? His updates, like his actions, do go side-ways a lot. Just say'n.

God bless.

Another week, another bunch of Windows 10 machines punched by a patch

Re: BSOD for me last night

AV's are very efficient these days at stopping malware. If your AV is stopping the updates then that could be a warning that Win 10 has been crossed over by M$ to the dark side! Just say'n.

Re: Tired of having their Windows 10 system wake up in the middle of the night for updates?

Telemetry, my friend. That is simply M$ spyware (sorry), Win 10 phoning home to tell Mom & Dad everything you have done on the computer since last night when it last called home. M$ expected you to be sound asleep since the computer reported you were not actively visiting your favorite porn site.

Win 7 to Win 10 telemetry spyware is definitely not new. Only change is Win 10 has now hardwired it into the OS so stopping it breaks the machine just like their updates. Anyone watched congress for the last few years pick their boogers in open session & wipe them on each other's backs? Yeah. This is the world we live in now.

Sad. Almost enough to make the end of the world look good.

Re: Why haven't the trolls sued Amazon over Alexa then? Or Google?

As previously noted, trolls are bullies picking on those who cannot defend themselves. Thus, you DO NOT ATTACK those worth several billion dollars & own their own politicians & have the potential to buy & arm their own black ops security forces. And, yes, own their own international law firms.

I, too, hope the trolls experience scorched earth via legal means in this matter. Surprised, being a Texas case, that they didn't threaten them with the death penalty. Didn't Texas pass that law so it can be used against non-Texans in civil cases? Hmmm, pretty sure...

God bless.

Re: Er, who?

"Bible is bullshit" is covered by freedom of speech & choice laws, I guess. Sounds like you are one of the "true believers" where M$ is concerned. IMHO, there is more truth in the bible than there is in anything produced, printed or said from M$.

M$ will relinquish their position in the OS hierarchy if they keep releasing updates that cause more damage than they fix & release new versions of OS's that will not run half of the software that exists on users computers. IMHO.

Biblically, I take the opposite view. M$ is bullshit & the bible has never screwed up my computers.

God bless & protect us, one & all, from the approaching M$ OS apocalypse.

Re: Windows Search is down, too.

Lol - Middle of Feb 2020 now & I did not even notice. DuckDuckGo did not falter al all. When they were college kids working out of their garage it was good, even reliable. Now it is this hugely fat greedy giant that has trouble wiping its butt. They hide their money in "war chests" & let their forums solve the "tits up" issues.

If I were in business they are the last company I would consider for needed tech.

Re: Outgoing or Incoming?

LOL - Have been complaining to them (M$) for years about their filters & rules. Nothing has ever worked logically for me. Rules to block or move simply were/are ignored. Rules to allow or trash did/do just the opposite.

In Dec 2019 I was completely blocked for 2 months before being permitted access to my account. 8 weeks equaled a collection of over 1300 pieces of spam, phish & porn offerings mixed with legitimate mail sent to JUNK by their (M$) server filters. Have felt for some time that these renegade servers belong to M$. They are completely blocked by yahoo.com & gmail.com. 2 or 3 junk a month & once blocked I never see them again. Same for the good email. It goes where I want it to go.

No. I will not be moving to any other M$ software or OS'es. Linux & Win 7 for now. Future is at least 3 years away. Then I will decide again based on conditions current to 2023.

WindiLeaks: 250 million Microsoft customer support records dating back to 2005 exposed to open internet

Re: Data Leeks

AI security is only as good as the coders. M$ seems to have an extremely hard time even updating their own code so this leaving the vault doors open for an unknown extended time IS NOT surprising. Also not surprising is using 3rd world phone networks for customer service. My experience has been very negative as well. Usually requires snail mail for a solution. Even online chat services run through the same outfits.

7 billion folks sure makes the hacks work harder. My financial status will put me in the bottom 50% so hopefully I will not attract their attention for at least a hundred years or so. :D

Only going to get worse. Even money says Trump gets elected for another 4 years. WOW!

Lord help us. God bless.

Re: You poor sod

I hear ya. Playing with Linux myself now & virtual Win 7. I still have 3 machines with XP running on them. They work fine. None are connected to the WWW. I also have an older machine running Apple DOS &/or CPM. All the original floppies & games still work.

In my programming days I learned to code on CPM with cassette serial tape drives. Next were the first Apple machines. Talk about caveman days! Advanced to Cobol & Fourth code on a Burroughs mini main frame. Each line was punched on a card. Computer read the code from the cards. Talk about ancient. Aluminum disks weighing about 25 lbs each stored the data. Had about 6 of these monsters that took up an entire room. Still have a lot of my MS DOS disks from the old days & a laptop that uses them.

I STOP with Win 7 & use Linux rather than spend my declining years frustrated with each new M$ Win 10 screw up. I am loving the Linux future. God bless us all! :D

Are you getting it? Yes, armageddon it: Mass hysteria takes hold as the Windows 7 axe falls

Trump & the senate majority support Win 10

I will hang with my Win 7 until it dies a natural death. I am also slowly migrating to an all Linux system. One that can run my dieing Win 7 OS in a protected bubble. My needs are simple. I do not need ICBMs on my desktop or laptop. My 22 & 12 gauge still work fine.

MS had huge problems updating Win 7 correctly. To be honest, they have grown too big & too greedy to even recognize or care for any individual human being using their junk. Like any controlling cartel, they push huge amounts of the "stuff" & could care less who gets hurt using it. My experience has been that it is the users who end up solving most of the problems & are most approachable for advice. Not MS.

Linux may prove the best of both worlds & a new learning adventure as well. Win 10 has given me small headaches already just reading about the absolute disaster it has proven to be for so many using it. M$ doesn't seem to listen or learn. Insanity is doing the same thing over & over & expecting a different result. It is not working, M$. You keep it.

Trade in MS headaches 4 Linux adventures...

I have been battling MS OS's since their garage days. CPM, Apple & IBM were all great at the time. MS went to hell after DOS 6.0. I have now sworn off MS. Nothing Win 10 has to offer is needed here. Win 7 has been shaky enough. In the process now of going with RoboLinux which seamlessly runs Win7 & XP in VM. Will slowly convert my MS required programs over so VM is needed less & less.

MS can keep all those headaches at MS Central. Looking forward to my new Linux adventures.

God bless all & help those addicted to MS...
