Renault Captur: Nobody who knows about cars will buy this

Re: How much?

"Looks like?" I hired one and had no feeling of it handling on corners any differently to one of your recommended hatchbacks, a number of which I have had and currently have the excellent Audi A3 Sportback 1.0 tsi. Comfort was good and more space, not less! Easier to get in and out of and better driving view. Different and not necessarily better but decent.

The ... or buy a two year old car cheaper is stupid because you could say buy a 2 year old Captur and that will be half the price of your 2 year old Gof! Or a 10 year old Rolls Royce if you're not worried about fuel economy? It just depends what people want and everyone is different. It's not about good car/bad car. Compared with with 20 years ago most cars are good. Rust? What's that, a young person would ask!

Re: How much?

Why?? If you want to drive a new car every three years and the interest rate is below 5% (and it is often 0%) it is usually almost as cheap as buying cash and obviously the only way if you don't have £20k cash. You get a much better price than cash because of the deposit contribution (and I've asked for that when enquiring about cash). Whatever you do you will be paying for the depreciation and for most this is the best way to spread the cost if you want a brand new car regularly. if you use a car broker even better, The days of discounts for cash are gone.

Price is no guide with tyres. A certain make of Chinese made tyres beat many mainstream tyres like Michelin in a range of tests at half the price !
