Re: The guy's here...

Problem is that there are too many different ideas about password strength, and too many amateur implementations. How many passwords in the wild start with a capital letter and end with a number (1) and a 'special' character !

Also, despite all this nonsense about correctbatteryhorsestaple being the most secure password, I have been using this for about 5 years and still get hacked about once every week;

Re: What part of that so people have issues with?

Sorry, I was considering having an opinion, but realised I was typing this on my work PC;

Yes, of course you are right. Work is where stuff happens. Nothing else should happen here, especially not anything political. Think of the possible problems!

Re: Christian Militia Terrorist

The early crusades were mostly an attempt to distract from troubles at home by sending the troublemakers to distant lands, with a promise of redemption. For a lot of those that met them on the way, I think the crusaders would have been seen as a "terror group"

Airline software super-bug: Flight loads miscalculated because women using 'Miss' were treated as children

AlanDouglas

The system programming was not carried out in the UK, and in the country where it was

performed the title Miss was used for a child, and Ms for an adult female, hence the error.

A manual solution for correcting the problem was quickly identified that involved a team

identifying upcoming flights, checking each booking, and changing all adult females with

the title ‘Miss’ to ‘Ms’, which overcame the problem. Subsequently, this work was shared

between two teams, and the process was completed every afternoon and evening for the

next day’s flights. It was checked again every morning, where possible, before flights

departed.

I have one, and my son is called Alexander. TBH I don't really care how much of what I say is recorded, I think I'm about the only one that finds it interesting. Helps with getting appropriate tracking ads if nothing else.
