AWS takes a shot at the private 5G network

Public vs Private Cellular

.."or begging a cell provider to build some more towers"..

Not really relevant as dedicated SIM cards need to be used with private cellular networks; PLMN SIMs won't roam onto them.

How to polish the bottom line? Microsoft makes it really hard to claim expenses, say staffers

I'm guessing that if you're getting paid more for doing it, it must be an aircraft carrier that you are progressing in and not a carrier bag.

Just what is the poop capacity of an unladen sparrow? We ask because one got into the office and left quite a mess

I believe that these are what you need:

Microsoft blocked TSO Host's email IPs from Hotmail, Outlook inboxes and no one seems to care

I too chose the wrong time to move my domain hosting to TSO and have suffered various email related problems ever since.

It doesn't surprise me that their servers are blacklisted; there's a serious flaw with their mailbox password policy (I believe that only the first 8 digits are hashed), which means that very often spammers can carry on pouring their junk through unsuspecting subscribers mailboxes, even after they've changed the password!

I reported this to TSO on 18th June and they responded by saying word to the effect of: oh yeah, we'll get around to fixing that someday.

I also reported it to the Reg news desk and in comment on this story: https://forums.theregister.co.uk/forum/all/2019/06/18/tsohost_weeklong_outage/

I've had no further response from anyone, so it seems to me that nobody gives a damn about any of this.

Brit hosting provider tsoHost takes needleful of 'unauthorized code' to the servers, suffers week of outages

Email password policy flaw

I agree with most of the other comments here: the quality of service from TSOHOST has collapsed recently.

In addition, I recently discovered a serious flaw with their email mailbox password policy: only the first 8 digits of any password are checked!

My Dad's email account has been repeatedly hacked by spammers despite numerous, complex password changes. However, I was only changing the last digits of his password, the first 8 remained the same and so the spammers could carry on logging into his account!

TSO support have confirmed the flaw but despite asking them to fix it almost two weeks ago, it's still present.

I'd like to make other TSO customers aware of the issue but their forums have been shut down.

Any suggestions?
