You can't a down vote, from I presume a former member of the royal engineers.

From the linked article above.

"...even charged the Royal Engineers thousands of pounds for useless cards that went missing from a trade fair at which uniformed members of the corps had been paid to help promote the bogus devices.

Bolton's device, the GT200, was also backed by British embassies in Mexico City and Manila, through the then Department of Trade and Industry.

"The involvement of UK government agencies in promoting this is very embarrassing and awkward," says Mr Sheldon, who was shocked to learn of the involvement of the Royal Engineers Exports Support Team. "

The rules on automated calls are in regulation 19, and are stricter. You must not make an automated marketing call – that is, a call made by an automated dialling system that plays a recorded message – unless the person has specifically consented to receive this type of call from you. General consent for marketing, or even consent for live calls, is not enough – it must specifically cover automated calls.

No, when listening to Radio, you Radio connects back to the mast and gets the signal it needs.

DAB is just more accurate at getting your location.

It's true, Stephen Fry told me so.

IGotOut Silver badge

Chances are it was dropping to mono (dual speaker). A simple trick that worked.

Decent ones would auto correct the volume.
