Re: Priorities?
Help, I need cash for my (49% US Delta airlines owned) airline company from the British Company. However my pet project for the Ultra rich is still OK.

The issue is not the Money, it's the fucking NHS red tape and general difficulty getting it. Throwing money around makes bugger all difference. In some places there is plenty of PPE and I know that many people with 3D printers and home sewing experts that are using backdoor methods to get the kit in. I.e. contacting Doctors directly (who are almost snatching out of their hands)
@muscleguy
On the flip side I had the early "walkmans"....ok a crappy binatone job, progressed to top flight Awia (would cost around £600 these days for inflation), no such thing as volume limiting. Spent my teens in loud clubs and proper raves, sitting for hours in front of the speaker stacks at the Brixton academy and hundreds of concerts
Had a hearing test a few months back.....hearing of someone in their twenties.
So you can have a crazy life and still have hearing....but I guess I'm a lucky one.
Wouldn't change a thing I did in my youth.
@Black Betty
Rule 270
You MUST NOT stop on the carriageway, hard shoulder, slip road, central reservation or verge except in an emergency, or when told to do so by the police, traffic officers in uniform, an emergency sign or by flashing red light signals. Do not stop on the hard shoulder to either make or receive mobile phone calls.
I'd class helping at the scene of an accident as an emergency, and so would every police officer in the UK.
All proceeds are returned to the charities'
I wish that were true.
Next time you see a church asking for a few grand for repairs, ask the local vicar / priest why they don't just sell some of the billions of Pounds in shares.
Just like a business, there seems to be a tipping point where making money becomes the be all and end all of it and screw everyone else.
I've worked and helped set up charities, and it pisses me off the big ones putting out the begging bowl when they are sitting in millions.
Support your little local charity, the chances are they are in it for the love of what they do, not for the money. Looking at you RSPCA...still killing healthy animals for no reason? Yup thought so.
Ah the volume wars.
Slide everything to max and compress the hell out of it.
9/10 times it's not the producers fault, but the bands saying "yeah sound good, but can we make it louder!" And if the band ARE the producers, oh dear.
It's one of the reasons vinyl "sounds better", is that vinyl cannot take the abuse so much, so the over compression has to be wound back in. It's not vinyl is better, it's that CD mastering is worse.
Day# of lockdown selfies. From what I gather most of those narcissistic idiot post every 15 seconds. Look a cat on a TV. Look my breakfast cereal. Look I've managed to get dressed. Look I'm now wearing slippers... And on and on and on.
Instagram....fucking up great tasting food day by day.
...my Bluetooth is off 90% of the time. I only turn it on to listen to music or in the car.
Add to the fact I'm on a buggy version of Android that cripples internet connection over WiFi, I have no intention of turning it on by default.
Then there is the big fact, I don't carry my phone with me all the time.
And what about my parents who don't have a clue what Bluetooth is.
I presume your intern also sells the old one for about 80% of the cost.
Yes that may be one month's mortgage, but what about the 10% deposit + moving costs + fees + furniture?
Many buy stuff like this, or eat at fancy restaurants, because even if they saved every spare penny they had, they would NEVER be able to afford to buy.
Then you finally get your 40 year mortgage and you end up giving it to the local council when you, despite paying taxes all your life, go into a home and have to hand the keys over.
Think of that wanker Branson. He wants a loan to bail out his pet money maker.
Of course he, or his major shareholder Delta, could, you know, sell shares to raise money.
Nope, give us a loan and if we go bust, we keep our cash and you'll get an island that you don't want.
"The joke was that it had the same engine minus the turbocharger as used in a Lotus Elise"
The 25 didn't have that engine. Thr Lotus used a 1.8 VVC engine, same as the Tomcat and later "Z" series engines, and the VVC was far more complex than your bog standard K series.
Of course Trump tells everyone to move from China, because, y'know, Reds in the bed and all that.
He's just to fucking thick to realise that Vietnam is more communist than China.
Oops silly me, Vietnam is less likely to become the number one economic powerhouse in the world.
I forgot, nothing to to do with trade, more to do with ego.
