Of course selling a celeb image in the USA is likely to get you sued...even if it slightly resembles them

@John
You're kidding right?
The US couldn't beat a few million in Vietnam & Korea.
How do you fancy taking on the world's largest standing army
Russia didn't beatthe Nazis because they had the best tech, but because they were willing to lose 10 to 1?
Sure kill a few million "just in case", but soon as a few thousand are killed on US mainland soil, things would seriously change.
"The Red Communists of North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam, until they were bombed"
So as you see "Red" in a phrase, you know what you are up against.
Can I suggest you go and study the Vietnam War in a little more detail, especially the pre war history.
Hi Chi Min (as he was later to become) just wanted to have a country free of the imperialism of the French. The US originally supported his cause, but then changed their minds and sided with the French. He was not a die hard "commie" but just wanted freedom for his fellow countrymen, a thing the "north" and "south" both wanted. The US propped up a corrupt puppet government, so you then had the true "reds" team up with Ho's forces to try to overthrow the corrupt regime.
If the US hadn't supported the corrupt regimes, the war may never have happened and the country wouldn't have been so hard line communist.
As for 9/11 again do your history and find out who put the Taliban into power in the first bleeding place.
The US has a good history of meddling in foreign affairs and making the situation far worse for their people.
As much as I dislike Trump, the way he is dealing with Iran is better than others would of done (bomb and invade). Don't get me wrong, it's not a good way, but better than others would have done.
So 91% of Business Applications have out of date software (which is going to be a bullshit figure to start with).
Then....
"Ninety-one percent of the audited applications had components that are either four years out of date or have exhibited no active development for two years."
Well that means 100% of "out of date" programs have components that are four years out of date or abandoned.
Dave I've replied to your other post which was pretty much the same.
The reason they bought the PPE from Turkey (which half was crap) was because it wasn't available in the UK. There is a LOT we are buying from UK manufacturers, but we can't make enough, but that doesn't suit the flag wavers.
If that's such a problem for you, take a long hard look at your wardrobe, how much is British made? My guess, very, very little. Then you rant that we are not buying British. Well you, and most of us, are the problem. We don't buy British clothing, so there is no British clothing companies that can quickly switch to making gowns.
So stop blaming the Government (it would make little difference who was in), it's the consumer who is to blame.
Dave 15...do you get your tin foil hats from the UK?
You leapt from PPE to Oxbridge to 60 year old political issue in a few short hops.
Not sure where you get half your info from but let's address a few:
PPE...Cost. That was simple. UK made, double the price.
Police cars, Ambulance and Fire Engines? Eh. Well many are made in the UK, and they are most certainly converted here in the UK. One of the companies that do it are on the same estate as I work on.
Sure some navy vessels aren't made here (plenty are), simply because we no longer have the facilities. It's ok building a few ships every 20 years at a shipyard, but how do you sustain that same shipyard for the rest of the time? This may come of a suprise, but most shipyards around the world have shut down, and put simply, the UK is to expensive to build merchant ships.
...with the US sanctions against China and others as well as aggressive,no hostile, immigration and visa controls, software (and hardware) companies could look at this as a way of getting around these issues. Into good having a multinational "team" if half of them are blocked from working on a project because of where they happen to live.
Hopefully software companies will also realise that En-US shouldn't be the default English language version.
"MS have been advertising Teams, and how it is keeping people working together"
Yeah, on that subject....anyone know how much the Met Police have been bribed?
Should the Police be taking money from businesses to promote their products? If so I've a Cryptocurrency business I need promoting.
"There should be a law against that.."
It's called an unfair contract in the UK. Contracts are pretty weak in UK consumer law, only in business law are they really enforceable, due to the fact b2b are expected to use legal advice before agreeing to a contract.
What is the point of this app?
They say has no location, so that means the government can't target resources to where it may be required.
If I've been pinged by someone who has said they have had it....then what? Am I supposed to self isolate for 2 weeks because I MAY get it, even if the odds are actually very low (you don't get it just walking past someone)? For me in the country this could mean patient X only pings 100 people in the 2 weeks before symptoms, but in the city, that could be thousands and thousands. Do all those isolate? And if so, do those 5000 alert another 100,000?
Or is it simply just to gather numbers? If so why not just have an app that reports back "I have it".
I just see no point at all in it.
My last teams reporting line:
Team leader
Technical manager
Business manager or customer manager
Section manager
Department manager
Department manager
Group manager...
Then four directors.
Not bad for a team of two....who 9 out of 10 times bypassed the lot in order to get anything done.
"O2 with a network that's way behind anyone else and expensive too."
All the customers on GiffGaff, Tesco and many many more will disagree. In fact 02 MVNO's are amongst the cheapest. Add to that I have a choice of a decent O2 4g or a barely useable signal from the others, for me coverage was the main decider to go with Giff Gaff
"Mandate that airlines must use biofuel. "
Not until biofuels are FORCED to only source from environmentally friendly methods.
It no good saying "we're using biofuels" if that has come from a sugar or palm oil plantation that was once part of the rain forest or was for food agriculture.
From these sources it's hardly any better than oil.
Or do what the French are doing. Want a bailout? Sure, no more domestic flights then.
It's crazy that in many countries domestic passenger flights are thing. Yes there are exceptions, such as island hopping, huge countries or where there is no alternative e.g Alaska, but London to Manchester? Really?
If there are to continue, increase airport duty to £100 each way and use the money to improve rail.
Could become closer and closer.
Well is that because
A) they are both former Communist states, despite having quite a hostile attitude towards each other or
B) the west being hostile to both those, therefore making them look to other markets and working on technologies together.
Hmmmm....
