I've seen plenty of interviews and the scenario usually is, given two identical houses, one with an alarm and one without, most would hit the one without.

Take a look at the general jobs market outside major cities. You can be

2. Van Driver (underpaid, lousy hours)

You raise some very good points and some stretching it a bit.
For starters, look at the demographics of TikTok, teenage wannabe media stars, is hardly the political hotpot. If they are worried about spying, then simply tell goverment staff and the military they can't install it.
The issue most have is this fake security theatre. If the goverments simply said, we are banning Huawei and TikTok until the Chinese goverment changes its rules on foreign companies operating in China, they would get a lot more sympathy.
As for human rights etc, well we (as in Goverments) can hardly moan at China whilst arming and supporting the same type of regiems in the middle east.

If you are on in setting and go back it seems to close, and it appears to close sometimes if you are on the abysmal home page and go back it closes, but you then reopem and still have all the tabs open.
Trying to work how to reset the homepage (or at least how to set it up), no fucking clue.

You have a valid point about the shipping, just like how Almond Smilk is no better than dairy when you take into account the water, shipping and packaging.
If i remember correctly iCloud backs up photos by default (so long since I set it up). Extra storage is peanuts.
Then you have Google photos, Amazon photos, heck even Facebook.
Me? I've NextCloudPi backing all my images up, but I must get an offsite set up at my parents / friends house.
