Google renews contract with Mozilla.
Mozilla rushes out the appalling Andriod monstrosity that is "New Firefox" that oddly removed all but one adblockers, removed people bookmarks from home page and changed default search back to google (let's ignore all the other problems with it)
So if this is the shit $400 million buys you, may be losing it wouldn't be so bad.
Firefox, you were once good.
Reg...any chance of finding out why Mozilla rolled out the heap of crap?
The world over.
I know so many cases the the bribe, sorry, community funding, that house builders have to give when chucking up new estates have gone missing into council budget. So much so a charity I worked for and several others, threatened to take them to court.
Amazingly a very well known MP suddenly put pressure on the council to release the funds. Up to that point he had no interest.
Cars are very heavily regulated.
I have no issue with cyclists or scooter riders If
A) Helmets are compulsory
B) Insurance is compulsory
C) Registration is compulsory.
D) Better enforcement of existing laws.
If a cyclist or scooter hits my car, why should I pick up the bill?
If a cyclist has an accident, why should the 3rd party, be it another cyclist, scooter or car driver, an insurance company or NHS pay millions because they felt a £20 helmet was to much hassle.
I also believe, that town centres should be made much more friendly to pedestrians, scooter riders and cyclists, even considering putting in special routes, such cut-throughs and bridges for this very use.
Canals and disused railways should be upgraded to allow their use by everyone.
Came to write the same thing.
Rich man, pay a token fine, no jail time, free to move on.
Poor person, 2 years on in hell hole prison because you can't afford bail, a plea bargain to admit to a lesser charge rather than risk overworked lawyer failing to prove your innocence (and another 6 months in prison waiting for trial). Then a criminal record that will ruin your life.
Welcome to the US legal system, the best money can buy.
I did this with, I think, Axiom, IP cameras way back in the early 2000s. We bought on for work, but you could access them from outside as they had their own little webserver.
You could Google a query string and it would list them all. 90% had no pw protection other that admin / admin.
Gave you full access to pan / tilt and zoom.
"he should be denied any access to phone or computer or passport. "
See my above post. A computer will have a black box fitted after the router. The phone may be required not to have a camera.
As for posting his image?
That's great until someone petrol bombs his house and kills an innocent person inside.
Does seem lenient, but the sexual harm prevention order (not the same as sex offenders register, which he will also have to be on), can be very strict. They vary from person to person, but...
He may have to inform the police if he enters a relationship, often after a few weeks
He will not be allowed to delete web history and may have to have a device fitted tracking ALL his web traffic.
He may not be allowed to travel without informing the police.
He may not be allowed to visit certain places, without prior consent.
He will be visited a random.times without warning.
And the list goes on and on
Also add in reduced job prospects, higher insurance costs and plenty more.
So although I'm surprised at the lack of jail, he has "gotten off"
Have you not noticed they never said it would fix all their problems?
This a tech site, so if the Reg started posting articles about the plans to upgrade their sanitary systems for millions of people, you no doubt would complain it was not IT related.
Odd that Trump supporters claim he is the amazing one that has bought unemployment down in the US and Obama did nothing.
So here have some facts instead.
https://www.macrotrends.net/1316/us-national-unemployment-rate
As you can see Unemployment was a constant downward trajectory since 2010. In fact if you look at the chart, the rate off fall has slowed slightly in the last few years.
But hey, facts, fake news I guess.
