Who owns IP for art, music etc

Hopefully no one.

The current system is already fucked when it comes to music. We've had cases where they have successfully sued for "the general sound and feel" of a track.

With AI you could simply generate every single possible combination of notes in 8 bars and then sue every single musician on the planet.

You could easily do the same with art work.Just bang out 10s of millions of images and then sue for similar looking pieces.

Re: It's a start.

It's odd how people praise technology for realising people from the mundane, but whine like a 2 year old when their nicely paid job gets offloaded to a bot or another country.

And yes it does help and saved millions, but it's easy to forget all those millions and millions that died due to "progress".

Disease became rampant in the cities due to poor sanitation, poor working and cramped living conditions. Millions were injured or died through industrial accidents.

Unless there is a safety net, poverty and its associated issues could become rampant.

Network engineer issue.

The issue of stepping on each other is easy to explain, as I've had first hand experience (VoIP).

Network make a change. As far as they are concerned all is good push out....

Hits VoIP all hell break loose. Telecoms report issue. They spot issue and start emergency changes, get back up and running in a few minute, while networks run round like headless chickens with fingers up their arses.

Networks panic without talking to anyone and revert changes (after asking if you can ping it 3000 times).

Revert breaks telecoms fix. Telecoms revert back to old config.

Rinse and repeat.

Yes, it happened too many times to remember.

I park, sometimes in a small car park, sometimes in one of two laybys and often out side other people's houses.

So in our village, given 70% of the residents are in the same position... How do we charge?

For starters the grid tends to fail least 5 times a year (yes that reliable).

Street lights? 50% of the roads only have them on junctions.

Rip up every road for kerbside? We only just got fibre 3 months ago.

Tiananmen Square

You're probably niave or ignorant enough to think the massacre In the square was it.

Do some more research on how many died , disappeared or were" reducated" outside of the square. The reason it was a relatively "peaceful" massacre in the square , was the fact many were kids of the elite in power.

Just compare how many died in the US war of independence and how many troops the US (and allies) had vs the British and allies.

Now compare the number of civilians died in the massacre and how many troops were deployed

The US war of independence was a picnic in the park on a nice Sunday afternoon compated to what the Chinese population faced.
