GoDaddy joins the dots and realizes it's been under attack for three years

Well...

As there is only one language Putin understands, we should make it legal for all European and NATO nation's to hack Russian and her puppet states as well.

He only see's inaction as a weakness, so if we allow him to do this, then he and his cronies will just escalate it.

I don't mind the daily commute...

Get to see the sunrise over misty valleys, looking into the valley with its sheep, cows and horse, but having to dodge to occasional deer, pheasant or suicidal rabbit that's wandered into the road can keep you on your toes.

Sure the tractors and combines sometimes slow you down a little (although plenty of modern tractors will happily go as fast as you), but its no big deal.

Hell I even get to run along a steam train from time to time, although rarely being eye level with the pilot of a Chinook can freak you out.

Yeah I'm on shit pay, but would I swap for £150k a year to live in London? Not a chance in hell.

Totally agree. I've always found it to US centric, it's content filter to aggressive (you often have to turn of safe search for even slightly offensive sites) and it's not better than Bing, probably because it uses MS back end.

I've always found StartPage much better, although it can be a tad slow sometimes.

Re: Arrested in Absentia

The issue is, you are using an English dictionary definition to question a phrase from a foreign language. It may be a literal translation, but have a completely different meaning in the native tongue. A in the complexities of a different legal system (look up the Julian Assange questioning for an example) and it probably makes a lot more sense.

You could migrate to Google. But they will get bored, close it down and try something else until that gets boring.

If you import into Apple, it will be incompatible with anything else, except other Apple sucks

You could got Open Source. It will be rock solid, but the will GUI suck and you best that Dave doesn't get pissed off with all the whining end users and big corporations constantly finding obscure issues, none of whom contribute a dammed thing to help out.

Netflix changes CEO-sharing arrangement, teases paid password-sharing

IGotOut Silver badge

Password sharing is a misdirection.

This is total marketing bullshit.

The plans are based on the number of simultaneous streams.

If you "share" your password with a thousand people and you're on the base plan, only one of those can watch at a time.

I pay for 4 streams so that my parents and my kids can watch it.

Why does it matter where they are based?

If the bring it in,my parents will not be bothered, not will I.

So they will actually LOSE money as many people like me, will drop the higher plans.

It is then up to them to claim the losses of Twitter, and good luck with that.

Japan lacks the expertise for renewed nuclear power after Fukushima

IGotOut Silver badge

Re: Time to switch!

I love how you flip from "Japan has loads of tidal options" to "Europe wide electrical grids"

Do you have ANY clue how things work? How do you get all the electric from the western side of Europe to the Eastern side (and vice versa) without

A) losing so much in electrical resistance that you need a huge amount of extra of generating capacity to compensate.

B) Not starve the local supply to such an extent that the whole of Europe suffers rolling brown outs?

FAIL

Sooo...

How about for people like me. I have NOWHERE, and I mean nowhere to charge one.

I park anywhere from 20m to 200m from where I live, in a village (approx 3000 people) that tends to have a minimum of 5 power cuts a year, I've even had 10 in a day!

There are zero charge points.

At work on an industrial estate that has hundreds of cars, 25% are just parked on the roads, there are ZERO charging points, and I know for a fact, the estate is pretty much maxed out when it comes to power.

The supermarkets (think 3 places the size of your typical Aldi) have a total of 6 points.

Pretty much most of the town, has no parking by the houses and it's a first come first served parking situation.

We have no trains (unless you count steam trains) and hardly any buses

If you think cycling is a option, feel free to try the route, even the most hardened cyclist end up in a pathetic heap

So tell me, where are the thousands of cars going to charge.

So what will I do? Simple, I'll give up buying super economical 1l petrol and go buy a 7.5 tonne diesel truck instead.
