Bombshell biography: Fearing nuclear war, Musk blocked Starlink to stymie Ukraine attack on Russia

Re: WTF?

Please explain Jake, how you even think this is a war crime?

Please enlighten us.

I suggest you actually look up what constitutes a war crime before answering.

Learn to code!

Or does that only apply when the elites destroy blue collar jobs.

Odd seen so many bitching about AI coding on here

Give it 5-10 years and that'll be mostly obsolete.

Desk jobs are amongst the easiest to replace. Why employ 25 coders when you can get AI to do most of the work and just the odd person to check and ammend.

+1 for Cautionary Tales.

As he pointed out (backed by academic research), that it took over 100 years for average people to actually benefit from the Industrial Revolution.

Ignorant people go "it bought great benefits for humanity", ignoring the mass population were forced to live in slum housing, life expectancy DROPPED, horrific injuries were common place (think young girls getting their scalps ripped off as they crawled under looms, or people dying of chronic lung disease in their early 20s, due to toxic fumes).

The people that always benefit from massive change are the rich and powerful.

This prices will be for human transcriptions and, in theory, should be 100% accurate.

You only have to watch something on Netflix with subtitles on (English / English) to see how terrible auto transcripts can be, and image how bad it gets when you have several people talking and even worse if they end up constantly over talking each other.

Arm wrestles assembly language guru's domains away citing trademark issues

So maybe a bit of self interest perhaps? Never saw him complaining about the loss of jobs when they were going their way.

On a serious note, it is a real issue. I'm fine, my job cannot be replaced, but so many can, and as the last massive labour shift (the industrial revolution) took around a hundred years or so for the benefits to filter down to the plebs, laws not on job protection (because it'll happen regardless), but on how to support those that lose their jobs, should be thought of.
