Not a developer, but high level support in a multinational as part of a team of two....yes two, providing between us providing not only 8 hour days, but rota 24/7/365 cover. Sure the work wasn't overly demanding, but going to bed not knowing if you'll get a call at 2am or Christmas day, or doing that essential upgrade at 1am when it's quietest...it takes its toll.

The worst part about burnout, is you are usually the last to notice, or you notice when it's far to late.

I had a breakdown and did some dumb ass life changing things, but ultimately I quit the game, changed my life style and learned to live with less money.

At the end of the day, as much as people don't like to admit it, you are the most important person in your life. You can put others first, but ultimately if that is killing you, everyone ends up worse off.

Ahhh you "recycled" all those VHS and CDs.

You know some of those "junk" VHS tapes can be worth over £80 each and the recordings are NOT the same as streaming or dvd / Blue ray? Quick example, ET the VHS has a scene cut from every other version. Or horror films that were never released again.

Then CDs, the things a company can't just decide to remove from your device, or you find your streaming service has some random crap US version, or some dog awful remix.

Those CDs maybe 30 years old, but good chance they'll be still around. Unlike the hard drive you ripped them to or the streaming service that no longer exists.

BTW, modern shared platforms have been around for quite sometime now, many cars / vans have the same major base, and just stick their body on top (bit like coach builders as mentioned above, just less bespoke).

If they take an image and copy it to their systems, technically that could come under making an indecent image (downloading or saving in anyway is classed as making).

If they then create a new image, that is production of an indecent image.

If that is then passed onto a third party, then that becomes distribution.

The UK law is very clear, these images DO NOT have to be real, it's covered under pseudo-imagery, even hand drawn cartoons fall under this

All major software has security issues, and MS has one of the largest range of software going. Add all the Linux and combine equivalent software packages out there and I doubt you'll see much difference.
