And this at the same time..
...the Chief Fascist announced tariffs on any country trying to reign them in.
Coincidence or corruption? You decide.

@Gordon10
Thats, as far as I can see, just numbers
Take tanks. It's pretty well established now that Russia's tank supplies are massively depleted, and their so so called Next gen Armata T-14 is in limited supply, and like a lot of Russian "high tech" kit is just all bluster.
The Black sea fleet has been rendered unusable by Ukraine and Turkey.
The SU-57 stealth fighter is as stealthy as a flying Transit van.
Where they do well at is throwing victims, I mean service personnel, into combat with no regard to casualties (which can actually be a benefit for them) and artillery.
This doesn't mean they are not a major force, but, let's face it, it helps the US Industrial Military Complex, to make out they are more of a threat than they are.
Quite often they are a cover. Launch an attack and while everyone is distracted, perform your main objective.
Once it's over, I'd be checking absolutely everything with a fine tooth comb. In fact if I was them, I'd block any changes made for the last couple of weeks until they are fully vetted.
The country that has a meltdown if "a wardrobe malfunction" happens?
The country that has effectively banned all references to LGBTQ people in schools and other public institutions?
The country that has removed references to black and female achievements in NASA?
The country that doesn't want gay people in the military?
The county that places sanctions on Judges investigating war crimes?
These assholes wouldn't know free speech if it hit them with a 9mm in the ear.
I have two Government ID's somehow.
One apparently I can use for "stuff" but I can't use it for Tax purposes, I need to use the second, but the password doesn't work. Both are registered to the same email account according to the information it gives out.
However I can't reset the password on the second account because.....you guessed it, it says a different Government ID is registered to that email address.
Don't even start me on NHS services online.
Working in Telecoms on a Meridian Option 81 with several thousand lines this was really common and also may explain this situation.
When doing office moves, the box shifters, sorry desktop guys, and the planners forgot to inform telecoms that their help was needed. This meant it was not uncommon for them to use the patch panels to jump between cabinets and even floors.
I think my record to find inter-patching was 6 cabinets. So it may of been the case that the workstation was in a different location before and was a single hop. It then moved and rather than doing a rip and replace some bridge spark went I'll just inter-patch.
AHH but I can't get from A2 to C1 directly, so I'll go A1 to A25, A25 to B1, B1 to B25 and B25 to C1
"Starbucks remains committed to being a welcoming third place for coffee and connection, and where community thrives in every cup, every conversation, and every visit."
I've always wondered how they can make coffee so badly. It's from the staff throwing up in your cup after reading this kind of stuff from corp HQ.
@kmorwarh
I'm literally set next to a printer that does this already (a Sharp).
You just send the print of to your follow me printer, then just collect it from wherever. Ours currently uses a fob, but can be a pin.
My last company introduced this well over a decade ago. So much so I sent all the printed documents off I needed for a particular job, then printed them out...in a different country!.
You complain about the Frazier group crusing competition, but I don't really see that.
Most of the brands they bought were bankrupt or close to it.
They bought Umbro when they were struggling,
Evans cycles, bankrupt
House of Fraser, bankrupt.
Sofa.com, bankrupt
Jack Willis, bankrupt.
Republic, bankrupt
JJB, bankrupt
Misguided, bankrupt
Then they did part buys of other brands.
So far from killing competition, they have kept many afloat.
"three-year-old startup, with an estimated value of $18 billion"
And actual profit? Hon on, give us a clue .. Any? Not even 1¢?
I wonder if I walk into a Ferrari dealership and say "I'll take that one, as I'm worth £1billion" they'll go. Sure, here you go. Pay us back when you get chance".
...that sets progress back, not forward.
It gives the haters just more ammunition, not less.
I've never heard a single black, trans, gay, lesbian in fact the whole fucking Progress pride flag group EVER go, "I wish they didn't use these words".
Nah, from my very long experience of mixing with pretty much every colour, gender and sexuality, all they want is to be treated equally and without the fear of being attacked.
Odd.
We make parts for the military, aviation, race car teams and most of the world hyper / super cars. We have close on 50 CNC machines along with all the CMM, X-ray, CT scanners etc required.
One of our contracts involves machining parts that both ourselves and the Chinese make. Our parts run at about a 10% scrap rate (this is not unusual due to the specification required). The Chinese? 80%.
It's tolerated by the customer because the parts are so cheap.
The dumb thing is, we make more money off the Chinese part of the contract, because machining the parts is where the money is. We get paid per part even if there was a 100% failure rate.
"No-one can read and digest the sum total of all human knowledge, but LLMs more or less already have."
I could read a book written in Spanish, but I would have a clue what it was about.
It's one thing gathering all the written works in the world, but it's another thing understanding it. The latter is were "AI" always fails.
