Driving Xtreme Cuts: DXC Technology waves bye bye to 45% of Americas Security divison

offshoring, but to the least experienced people in India/Philippines etc

In my experience, you can get very good people in India, but they cost - they demand higher salaries - knowing their worth.

At the end, whether you hire a top expert in the US or india, the price can be the same and the quality the same.

But DXC hires the worst in India and pays low salaries, so low quality.

DXC Technology exec: What should our brand be known for?

Expensive, bad service and disappearing personnel

I worked for them for 2 years in a senior, sub-exec role and watched people leaving, being fired and just giving up, left right and center.

I do not know why customers would remain when personnel are constantly changing and the service is really bad

DXC Security exec: Yes, I'd have thought we'd spend more on certs and laptop kit for staff, too

Re: DXC layoff strategy

I'm out of that place as well. Got my WFR 1.5 years ago and it's been good. you'll get a job, don't worry. But first take a 3 month break, clear your head and look around.

DXC paid me a very, very good salary - they poached me from a competitor and I got the golden welcome and golden handshake, so I don't have any regrets. it was a soul-numbing few years at HP/HPE/DXC but it was monetarily worth it, and mentally no.

Quit now, take a sabbatical away from IT for a few months, then get back in the game. And best of luck! you'll do great on eht outside!

DXC: Slashing costs affects ability to attract, develop and retain staff? Who'd have thunk it!

Grunt work is now done from India

I kept in touch with colleagues from poland and india. After hitting poland and romania in 2018, the layoffs have started in earnest in India as well. So no more grunts. I guess at the end Mark just wants to milk customers for no work
