My first encounter with those smelly cock-roaches were in the 80's when scores of them showed up in old clothes and sandals as contractors who were stacked in meetings rooms and closets by the dozens, They would stay for 4 to 6 months and go back to India wearing levis, I love NY t-shirts, and nike tennis shoes.
It really hasn't gotten any better .
Wipro was the beginning of contracting pimp-service .
I interviewed at RS years ago.
It is located in a crime + gang ridden section of San Antonio .. in an abandoned shopping mall enclosed by razor wire fencing. It was like entering a prison. The turn over rate I was told is a big problem. SA is not a high-tech zone except for few military bases that only hire "IT contractors" .
A real dead-end place for a career . I didn't like the interview process and I had no interest in getting a job there afterwards.
Remember when HP(E)'s logo was " Invent " .. ? I can't even get their various name right anymore it has changed so much.
Now it is "Outsourced to lowest bidder"
Their other attempt at building a cloud platform was stealing Debian Linux to make a Openstack deployment .. and that ended up in the gutter in about a year.
So many DOWN votes - I must have hit a nerve.
I dare any down voter to list a piece of modern equipment in their sphere of life that is NOT MADE in China . Crawl under the dashboard of you car and look there too . I'd include looking at the packaged food in your kitchen too.
