Re: A fool and their money

IKR? I did a Google search on the pair and the brother is covered in tattoos on his arms, hands, and neck.

As to what they say about 'first impressions', if I had met this guy face to face, I would have thought 'That dude is sketchy AF!' I don't care if he IS wearing an expensive business suit.

I wouldn't have given him one red cent after seeing him!

Yes, there's nothing quite like braving the M4 into London on the eve of a bank holiday just to eject a non-bootable floppy

Lying users...

I LOVED to point out to end users that they were lying about rebooting the PC. During my helpdesk days with a local bank, I would ask the user if they had restarted their PC when I knew full well they didn't.

I would proceed to then remote into their system, bring up Task Manager, click the 'Performance' tab and circle my mouse cursor around the uptime indicator (which would usually show uptime in days or months).

They'd mumble that they swore they had restarted, after which I would restart the machine anyway and all was well....SMH.

Re: Sigh.

I wish the States would write up slow drivers poking along in the passing lane blocking traffic. Technically it IS illegal to do that, but you rarely see the police enforce it. Depending on the town, speeding tickets are the main source of revenue (which is illegal, but is done anyway) and you can get wrote up for going 1 mph over the limit.

Can't tell you how many times I have gotten stuck behind a blue-hair that probably has no business driving on the roads going 25 mph in a 55 mph zone. With a 10 car line behind him/her. Absolutely infuriating.

Re: They would use audio for non sighted customers.

More like.....they couldn't be bothered to disable that system when the kiosks were being designed. Plus the noise level is way too high in those stores with screaming kids, the drive thru speaker blaring, and workers talking in back for an audio system to be useful for any sight-challenged individual.
