Xerox: Prepare to say cyan-ara, HP Inc. We're no paper tiger. We're really very serious about that hostile takeover

Re: Smaller company attempting a hostile takeover?

I just want HP to die a painful death after what the corporate raiders have done to that once great company.

How much you wanna bet they don't know which software version represented the working noise/cancelling version, and don't have the binary firmware to restore the functionality. The fools and their money need to be reminded of caveat emptor.

What he mostly is is Brazilian and not Mexican, and speaks Portuguese not Spanish.

Agree that the Canadarm3 moniker lacks a certain je ne sais pas. I propose colouring the arm gold and going with "bra d'or" instead, the golden arm for the francophobes. I suppose for my fellow insecure about our identity Canadians we could call it like a film sequel: Canadarm: bra d'or. It's gotta be better than Smarmy McSpaceArm, no?

Side note: there was a strong ale in Canada back in the day called Brador but the fact that you could get hammered on 2/3 as many shouldn't be too much of an issue in the current discussion (that I'm no doubt having with myself).

Funny how wanting support for linux is viewed so negatively. My Dell XPS 13 is verynice, but now I see this I'd buy it in a minute if I could install ubuntu/fedora/whatever on it. One fecking USB A port, that's all I miss on the Dell. Although I'd be just as happy if logitech would sell a fecking USB-C wireless dongle.

Macs to Linux fans: Stop right there, Penguinista scum, that's not macOS. Go on, git outta here

To what end?

We have 4 perfectly usable, yet neglected, 2009 era iMacs at the orifice but only two of them will update from 10.8.5 to el Capitain, updating to sierra, high sierra or mohave has been declared a hardware problem by the scumsucking corporates at Apple. This isn't an issue pour moi, because I prefer several linux distros and the gnome desktop to os x anyway. My only real option at this point to make these machines secure is to install linux, and it makes me wonder if this is part of Apple's current end-game, but to what end I don't know.
