Germany mulls giving end-to-end chat app encryption das boot: Law requiring decrypted plain-text is in the works

Re: So encrypted posts to USENET it is ...

What most people forget is that no "real" encryption is needed. The thugs can use plain text like

The eagle has landed

to communicate in secret.

Chinese Super Micro 'spy chip' story gets even more strange as everyone doubles down

we need real hard proof, not opinions

ok, the spy-chip is plausible, but does it exist?

I no longer want to see a good photo + details about what the chip actually does, no there is too much pushing from all sides, that only hard evidence can convince a techie.

Show us the motherboards! 30 companies and the US government has these spy-chips, so show at least 3 motherboards and make them available for an independent party to verify the claims about the spy-chip.

Super Micro China super spy chip super scandal: US Homeland Security, UK spies back Amazon, Apple denials

who was hurt ?

Supermicro was the big loser in this event. Not only stock went down but there is a lot of reputation damage, enough to sue Bloomberg?

Since the US government is aggressive anti-China I will not be surprised if it was their goal to frustrate sales of Supermicro.
