Mess

Oddly enough at our Xmas reunion in 2017 a colleague told us this mess was about to happen.

He blamed the Spaniards, and a boss who thought the sun shone from his proverbial Spanish IT team. Who in reality had no idea of the difference between elbow and other part of anatomy.

Mystic Meg he told me understood the problems better than said boss.

What could he do? The Spaniard was on a permanent siesta, he would only be rumbled from slumbers when it all went tits up.

So, the problems were known, expdcted, not the magnitude. A few unhappy customers is fine. They cam be fobbed off and ignored. Just like with the whole problem.

Update

Mine is back now trying to update to 1 *7* 09 again. Seems microsoft has given up trying on 18xx

To say it has tried and failed 100 times is probably no exaggeration. The ONLY good thing is reversion takes a few minutes. Enough time for a now ritual restoration coffee.

Always fails at same point. Microsoft clearly have limited experience of writing software.

I abandoned trying all the solutions propoded after miserable weeks of getting no place.

Why can't all my useful prograns run under linux?

I don't see what all the fuss is about ..

I read every Sunday in the paper about a bank that has cocked-up something, somewhere, and they are the ones that are printed. And we all know that banks like to keep customers money, they just make a terrible fuss when someone from the Ukraine is doing it for them, and thus damaging their bottom line.
