Networks still getting a disproportinate cut?

So am I right in thinking the networks still insisting on a cut of the payment (that is, no doubt, grossly disproportionate to the resource required) to process the payment?

When will people see that the mobile purchasing future is in establishing a secure mobile to serverside transaction that makes the purchase in the same was as online? you can use NFC or click to buy with this interface - it is predominately based on tried an tested web protocols and the networks out of the commission loop.

We are the first to build this functionality in the UK and you all we see it soon in the Java environment...........;-)

DVB-H is the official mobile-TV standard

What about TDTV?

My understanding is that TDTV is a better option, Brussels may be pushing DVB-H but Nokia are piloting TDTV with Next Wave Wireless Networks here in London so I guess the Fins have a better Idea!

TDTV makes more sense (for the operators) it has a wider spectrum 10mhz as oposed to DVB-H's 8mhz and can therefore support 28 channels to DVB-H's 16.

Furthermore less people are in the value chain so more cash for those that are......although I agree why would people use it? Ipod Videos are availible and I would say 1 person per carriage uses them to watch a film on my tain from waterloo each evening.

I am amazed the Fins haven't sort out a deal to produce the handset!

Think about it.....Nokia need to make a handset atleast as good as the iPhone! and if its not as tactile it better function well......Android (if you believe the hype!)
