Lenovo certifies all desktop and mobile workstations for Linux – and will even upstream driver updates

don't you hate it when you lose your account Bronze badge

Re: Hats off to Lenovo

Been running Linux on an old lenovo laptop for at least 6 years. While I truly appreciate the move, my setup never needed it. My parents lenovo laptop however was a different MS story. They got 'upgraded' to win 10, this was when MS had decided that little cross in the top right no longer ment kill but 'hey, they must want this'. Pity lenovo listing their model as not Win 10 compatible, but ho-hum, they accepted by clicking the x.

I'll take that down vote as a badge of honour :)

Interesting

A down vote storm, with so many I would expect at least someone to post a reply. If the point was missed I was highlighting MS hypocrisy, have they never pulled a fast one in software (answers on a toilet roll please). If the point wasn't missed then do they agree it's OK to diminish/hate individuals simply because they were born in some way different from them (answers in crayon please). Timely rush of opinion considering what is happening right now in US.

Right click

While at uni I worked for Time computers, please feel free to flame me for my murky past. One old lady rang needing help with changing the display properties, for the life of me I can't remember why. So simple right click on empty part of desktop and select properties from menu was recommended. Lady says no menu is popping up. Knowing how these things go and after a few attempts I ask her exactly what she was doing. It turns out she was writing click with the mouse. Not the worst but the one that made me smile the most
