I have a few computers i tend in various countries. On the phone,(the last resort when all else fails) i have learned to stick to my own tried and tested tree script of problem solving. I have one story that forced me to adopt this. There was no internet connection. I was step by stepping them to navigate on screen after the router check. After around 20 minutes of my wasted time with us both being frustrated to the point of shouting at each other the same laborious instructions time and time again there was a laughing on the phone that steadily got louder and louder and louder. Until they went quiet.....before saying, "oh, i had the mouse upside down". I, my friends, rest my case, and on my gravestone will be , " Here lies Tin, don't mention the damn mouse" just leave me in peace for Christs sake

My win 10 pro downgraded last week and become non genuine. originally i had home installed and upgraded via a popular online site for "E" licences, cheap, cheerful and ok, till last week. contacting the seller got no results as did nothing else. It;s a complete re install as win 10 will not self downgrade as we all know. A workaround by chance appeared. I simply re signed into my microsoft account on said device and re checked for updates and voila activated once again, now i have signed out again. I never keep a machine signed into msoft, no matter how much i am promised. Thank the lord for smaller than small mercies as i had scraped all my data from said computer and was about to re install via flash drive a home edition...which probably would have just over installed pro once again after the pre install sign in process i suppose.

To find all details of leftovers from uninstalls, firefox being one, i use search everything from void tools after uninstalls. I then choose which to delete. it is 100% effective at finding all leftovers. Another way is to go to users and app data folders after unhiding hidden files in msoft and do a manual search, iobit uninstaller also has a function to extra clean things that usually kills all leftovers

I use a business licence lifetime of office for mine, a couple of squid on ebay, or amazon, never had any issues and even upgraded home win 10 to pro for another couple of sqiudios. what exactly is the problem with that?. i see no problems

No way, except using a pass manager,i use keypass 2.3.91, which is not affiliated in any way with other very similar names. it works from a flash drive, you can have a 10000000 character password to get in, and it seamlessly logs you in without using a keyboard. i also use text pin log ins so no one can actually log in unless i get the 4 or 6 digit pass. makes life a bit slower, but hey, what's the rush, buying if i had gone out would have taken hours...a few extra seconds logging in is the smallest of small prices to pay for 100% surety. Also, use 100% safe security, yes, i know they are saying we are spied on, but the likes of Kaspersky are so safe, no point in skimping. eset also are quite good and Norton, although Norton is a more bloated and slow software.

All too often we humans seem to conveniently Alzheimer ourselves of the origins and then go off on one, escalating everything into a frenzy , until at last we have everyone else on board and can activate sheep mode for the masses to follow in line like good little goblins

Seems to me that ,to be among the pigeons while wearing a cat suit , is a far better place. Targeting Kaspersky for source code reasons could also mean all others, Norton, Eset and AVG to name a few are also guilty of spying, and not just on institutions, but us. I would rather have Kaspersky spying on me than my countries own brand security software, at least for now. I feel, to have 100% success at keeping all the machines i service clear of meddling malware and running smoothly for near on five years is a miracle in itself, and until concrete proof arrives of their shortfalls, or they lose their top spot, nothing is going to make me switch. Russia is bad, the US is bad, but hey...the UK also is a mass surveillance country, maybe, just maybe paranoia has gotten into our leaders HQ's and maybe some other security vendors will be next, watch this space
