Bored IT manager automates Millennium Eve checks to ditch snoozing for boozing

Do you even work in IT? You sound like an imposter to me!

Dutch boyband hopes to reverse Brexit through the power of music

Re: Slightly wrong.

I believe all the factual data available so far points to this being a falsehood. Can you quantify this position with actual data?

No fandango for you: EU boots UK off Galileo satellite project

Re: Politics..

that is factually incorrect. The UK politicos can't stop talking about their red lines.

Huawei P20: Snappish snaps, but for £200 less than Pro, it’s Notch bad

All I want is a snapdragon 845, waterproofing, Wireless charging, long battery life and an audio jack. Easy customisation and rooting are a bonus. What I don't want is a Samsung because planned obsolescence makes me angry, as does the insanity around locking the phone down.

I have been wanting to replace my OnePlus 2 for a while now, there just isn't anything on the market that ticks these boxes. What makes me shake my head and strongly consider a feature phone once again is the constant hoopla around cameras. Even this review barely mentions practical considerations of a phone (radio effectiveness, battery life, overall system performance,) and spends a lot of time talking about the camera.

Shaking up the Nad Men: Microsoft splits up into 'cloud' and 'edge'

I don't want "experiences and devices" - I can go to the local smuthouse for that. I want my Windows to respect my privacy, and not pretend to know better than me, especially when it comes to rebooting. I want my Office to work, and I want all this to be reasonably secure and stable.

I don't need this invasive crap.

Re: 'Experience' is just a highfalutin term

lol touchwiz, always makes me crack up in a juvenile way

Microsoft loves Linux so much it wants someone else to build distros for its Windows Store

Windows Store? Sideloading?

Isn't "sideloading" another word for "running apps we don't approve of, but we cannot legally stop you" I *really* don't want to go back to a Linux Desktop and Wine to run Office, and I can't stand Apple.
