Unless your computer also has a firmware update you're not protected. And good luck getting that firmware update, unless you bought your PC from Dell in the last 6 months.

Turns out just installing the Windows patch isn't enough, you also need to update firmware/microcode - which you can get from... your supplier.
So basically, unless you bought your PC from Dell or HP, you're relying on your motherboard maker to update the bios on what could be a 4-5 year old motherboard. Likely to happen? I don't think so. And even if it did happen, how many users out there are going to know how to do it?
To be honest, I'm going to un-install the Windows patch. It ain't gonna solve the issue.
