RobertLongshaft

Free shit for everyone.

Where political parties go when they have no actual policies left.

This Labour party are the biggest danger this country has seen since the end of the second world war.

A funny thing happened on Huawei to the bank. We made even more money. Hahaha. Here till Friday

RobertLongshaft

I suppose when you're bankrolled by the Chinese government who are violently oppressing the people of Honk Kong its all fine and dandy.

Of course if you believe Chinese financial results you should probably buy your BMWs from there too.

Clowns.

IR35 blame game: Barclays to halt off-payroll contractors, goes directly to PAYE

Boohoo "we've been cheating the tax system for years and now we have to pay our fair share"

These same scoundrels will moan about the amazons and starbucks of this world tax dodging too.

How to lose a UK contractor in 10 days: Make them commit after upcoming IR35 tax upheaval, apparently

RobertLongshaft

People earning £100k a year + paying 20% tax (as if most of them even pay that) while people earning over £37k are paying 40%.

Nothing quite like a big lump of socialism to make things fair, eh?

We're all doooooomed: Gloomy Brit workforce really isn't coping well with impending Brexit

RobertLongshaft

"The UK's Office for Budget Responsibility also said this week that government borrowing had increased by £17.8bn to £41.4bn, although the lion's share was due to more realistic accounting of student loans – half of which are now considered as "spending" because they will never be paid back."

Great, so people who didn't go to university are footing the bill for those that did, nothing quite like a dose of shadow socialism to show the fairness in our society eh?

When taxation is so utterly ridiculous is it really a surprise that people try to get out of it?

How is inheritance tax fair?

Its the same in the UK - the ISIS child bride can get legal aid after she worked as an enforcer and picked out individuals to be murdered by the caliphate but the victims of the Manchester bombing or the London Bridge attacks are not entitled to legal aid.

Ah another of those famously accurate climate change predictions?

What did Al Gore say in 2006? All the ice caps melted by 2017? 10 years to save the planet? 1 million american's displaced. Of course he wasn't the first, was he? Paul Elrich back in the 70s with the same shtick.

Ask yourself this, if any of that rubbish was remotely true why to the peddlers of the scam all own beech front properties in the most luxurious locations on earth?

US foreign minister Mike Pompeo to give UK a bollocking over Huawei 5G plans

RobertLongshaft

Business? That's a funny way to spell CORRUPTION.

But hey ho, you're ok with former civil servants selling out the national security of the UK for a few quid. No doubt you're an avid remoaner who believes that Britain should be dissolved into the United States of Europe with Herr Junker in charge, so we don't need security anyway. Or an army, navy, nuclear arsenal etc etc

CLOWN.

RobertLongshaft

Some of you people are as thick as a submarine door.

Why did the Conservative party give Huawei a contract?

David Cameron's Office Executive Director - Now Chairman of Huawei UK

David Cameron's Head of trade and development - Now a Board member of Huawei UK

David Cameron's Chief Intel and Media officer - Now Director of security Huawei UK

But it must be Mike Pompeo and Donald Trump's fault that our politicians will sell out the security of the nation for a few shackles hey?

Anything for the anti Trump angle, you're deranged.

Can I get a RHEL yeah? Version 8 arrives at last as IBM given go-ahead to wolf down Red Hat

"Open source" My arse.

There is plenty of IP within a RHEL distribution, how many orgs run this without paying for the official support? ZERO.

Blockchain is a lot like teen sex: Everybody talks about it, no one has a clue how to do it

RobertLongshaft

If you don't understand the internet of value and how that is changing financial services around the world through blockchain innovation perhaps you should just STFU?

Yeah that'll be why every major financial institution on the planet is bollock deep in this technology then...........

Loose Women woman's IR35 win deals another high-profile blow to UK taxman's grip on rules

RobertLongshaft

Ah the BBC gravy train - Alan Partridge had it spot on.

The lefties and champagne socialists of the BBC want higher taxes for the wage slaves while they themselves escape using the IR35 loophole.

See Linekar and his £1,7m a year salary he pays 20% on.

I love how the US is taking all the flak here when the British government and security services are 100% as culpable.

Ex-Mozilla CTO: US border cops demanded I unlock my phone, laptop at SF airport – and I'm an American citizen

RobertLongshaft

Re: @AC Don't travel to the US.

I'd take Farage over your glorious retarded socialist Corbyn any day of the week.

Although I do have to say if I ever wanted to queue for hours for bread and kill zoo animals for a rare treat of meat then he would be an excellent choice.

His policies have proven to be so successful in Venezuela, a country the leftist cheers for nearly a decade before the inevitable fall into destitution, starvation and violent public unrest.

RobertLongshaft

I travel to the US about 3 times a year and despite a queue sometimes to get through security I have absolutely no problems what so ever. I always travel with a work laptop and phone.

The anti US sentiment on here is, frankly, ridiculous.

HMRC accused of not understanding its own IR35 tax reforms ahead of private sector rollout

RobertLongshaft

Arguing over how much of your labor the state can forcibly take from you?

If you think the solution to all of the worlds problems can be fixed by the retards in Parliament who can't even enact policy they said they would then you must have been starved of oxygen.

Brekkie TV host Lorraine Kelly wins IR35 ruling against HMRC, adds fuel to freelance techies' ire over tax reforms

RobertLongshaft

Taxation is theft.

UK tech has a month left to bare gender pay gaps, but less than a fifth of firms have ponied up

RobertLongshaft

Are we not tired of this radical left wing feminist nonsense yet?

You can draw a line on almost any differentiating factor and say there is prejudice. Take height, tall people get paid more than short people. Is that because of the institutionalised oppressive tall people club? No, there are many complex factors at play.

Southerners get paid more than northerners, is this because of some institutionalised oppressive southern people's club? No, there are many complex factors at play.

Same for the fake gender pay gap - if it were as simple as paying women less money for the same work why wouldn't "greedy" companies the world over be filling their ranks with cheaper women employees?

Because its complete and total nonsense created by the radical feminist movement to give easily manipulated women an excuse for not achieving. Funny isn't it how women who have achieved success rarely moan about oppression?

Straight outta Blighty: Readers, if you were a tech billionaire, what would you do?

RobertLongshaft

Why would a billionaire move his business outside of the UK?

Probably because he's sick of paying tens of millions of pounds in tax to a government which grants India £1.4b in foreign aid every year - INDIA HAS A SPACE PROGRAM AND NUCLEAR SUBMARINES.

Perhaps if we had a sensible tax policy, where we don't punish inventive, creative conscientious people then perhaps more companies would want to do business here.

Socialism is literally a cancer which eats the country from the inside out, we could become the next Venezuela if Corbyn and his common room lunatic colleagues get anywhere near power.

"The European Commission had suggested a 3 per cent levy on firms with a global annual turnover of €750m and annual EU revenue of at least €50m – but the measures were branded fundamentally flawed by some nations"

Those nations need to read the fine print. Your opinion is worthless. You have no voice, there is no democracy within the EU. Just lobbyists and politicians with large expense accounts which need servicing.

xHamster reports spike in UK users getting their five-knuckle shuffle on before pr0n age checks

RobertLongshaft

You think this is about smut? You think the powers that be give a flying turd about what people masturbate to? You think this is about protecting children?

Remember these same people filled our towns and cities with people who raped and abused THOUSANDS vulnerable children and then labelled anyone brave enough to speak up as racists. They do not care about you, your children or anything of the sort. This is 100% about control of the internet, the powers that be want to be able to put you behind a China style firewall and limit the information you are allowed to consume. This is authoritarian and totalitarian and is just the next step into turning you into the free ranges slaves that they want.

Just wait, the microchipping is literally around the corner, it'll start as a "technological advancement" , why carry a credit card when you can have a chip? But the real reason is they want to own you, own your children and own your grandchildren. You'll be monitored and tracked, 24/7, a slave in a cage he can't see, touch, smell or taste. The worse thing is that you'll welcome it with open arms, some of you idiots will queue for it. You'll deserve everything that's coming.

Talk in Trump's tweets tells whether tale is true: Code can mostly spot Prez lies from wording

RobertLongshaft

Shortstuff - you're absolutely right.

Can you imagine Trump negotiating Brexit? We'd have the best of both worlds. Instead we have Cruella DeVill who bent over and asked Juncker to lube the dildo before he had his way.

Lefties hate Trump because he doesn't bow down to their ultra politically correct line, he gets the job done and he doesn't care who he upsets to do it. This helped him to become a self made billionaire and his now helping him to become the greatest President in living memory.

RobertLongshaft

Lefties are hilarious!

They accuse any none NPC of being brainwashed by Fox News but they are literally regurgitating what they hear or read on the BBC/CNN/NYT or the Guardian.

"Orange man bad, Orange man bad, Orange man bad"

WIPO 'temporarily suspends' whistleblower CIO amid allegations of misconduct

Angry Googlers demand bosses pull the wings off 'Dragonfly' censored Chinese search engine

RobertLongshaft

The hypocrisy is mind blowing.

Here we have a company, that fired an engineer for daring to state scientific fact about the difference between men and women. Proving that freedom is something Google wholeheartedly doesn't believe in. And these clowns are now signing a letter asking the leadership to stop a multi billion dollar project because "we object to technologies that aid the powerful in oppressing the vulnerable, wherever they may be."

No, you object to technologies that aid the powerful in oppressing the vulnerable when you aren't the powerful, don't control the powerful and have no say in what they do. But when the raving loony radical leftist at Google hold all the power and do all the oppressing, well then, that's absolutely fine.

DXC axes Americas boss amid latest deck chair musical

RobertLongshaft

This is how DXC's model essentially works.

Company A is considering outsourcing technical talent to save money, DXC send in their A team, technically excellent, astute on service requirements and knowing every buzzword from here to Timbuktu.

Once the contract is agreed and the ink is dry, DXC's A team is off to another customers to bamboozle them with the fantastic offerings leaving what can only be described as the Indian PFY to come in and run the show.

The service you get once you've signed is slow, ponderous and incredibly expensive.

I can't imagine the hell of what working for that company must be like.
