Chrome wants to remember which Websites to silence

Great

Is there anything more annoying than autoplay videos? Putting a cactus up your bum would run it close, according to a friend.

US Navy suffers third ship collision this year

It's just a statistical thing...

As the US navy has many more of these things than any other navy, it'll often feature in such mishaps more often.

Anyway Amazon has a book for the crew to read:

Elon Musk among 116 AI types calling on UN to nobble robo-weapons before they go all Skynet

Hey reg

Why do you reprint every release from Elon Musk's publicists? A few pieces here or there I wouldn't mind. But every website I go to they're there, telling how wonderful and important the colossal .rick is. He's just a guy. Wake me up when he turns a profit on one of his many tax subsidy sucking ventures.

Microsoft president exits US govt's digital advisory board as tech leaders quit over Trump

Robinson123

Really...

Why didn't they all resign when Obama failed to unequivocally condemn Islamist violence? He couldn't even bring himself to say the I word. It seems to me that Trump is being held to a far higher standard. Personally I see no difference between a Swastika (far right) and a Hammer & Sickle (far left). But it's apparently OK to ponce about waving the latter. Absolutely fine.

The hypocrisy stinks.

Sorry, psycho bosses, it's not OK to keylog your employees

Above the law?

I'm confused... How can an "international organisation" not be under any legal jurisdiction? The jurisdiction and law attaches to the sovereignty of the ground their fat arses are sitting on, surely.

'Real' people want govts to spy on them, argues UK Home Secretary

Has it escaped her attention?

I don't know if my MP Lucy Frazer has had an opportunity to discuss things with Rudd. I don't credit emails to my MP as having any affect whatsoever on policy. However I did write to her (it's very rare I write to anyone) before the election to tell her I wouldn't be voting for her because of the Conservative manifesto, specifically their ideas on internet "regulation". They were predicted a huge majority before the manifesto was published.

Since 1992 I have never voted for the losing side in an election. This was the first time in my life I abstained. Nobody won.

Next week I'll be publishing the lottery numbers on my Twitter.
