If the users are wasting an hour of productivity each day then cost of the machine could recovered in about 3 weeks (more realistically ~6 if you allow for setup costs). This is an organisation for which the weekly wage bill is probably several $billion.

If your wife is not working then you should not stop the benefit. While your wide is paid child benefit she will also gain national insurance credits, if you opt out of the benefit she will loose these.

FRAND terms only normally apply to patents which are standards essential. None of the patents here look like they would fall under that category, and hence licensing terms are entirely between Qualcomm and Apple.
