As Jim Mitchell pointed out in his reply, the ThinkPad *line* is orientated to business users. The AMT/vPro feature is definitely in some HP and Dell lines, but not all of them. For example, a Dell Latitude line unit has the feature as an option, but an Inspiron line unit doesn't. I'm not familiar with HP lines to know which ones have it as an option.
