Scientists mull Solar Radiation Management – a potential climate-change stop-gap

Zorg

It is where the measurements are taken.

They put the temperature measuring meters in places that they will show artificially higher temperature readings. Then they scream global warming. The fake readings mean nothing. It's all BS so they can spray chemtrails, with all kinds of poisons in them to lower the population, by poisoning us directly and poisoning the food, thus killing us off. It's that simple.

CO2 caused global warming is 100% BS.

There is NO global warming and the climate scientists and others pushing global warming are morons or psychopathic criminals!

The CO2 level is .04%. That means it is 4% of 1%

If the CO2 level goes to .02%, then the plants start dying.

Clearly the imbeciles that down voted didn't bother to copy and paste the URL in the post.

My guess is worthless trolls.

Finally went back and confirmed that all links are good.

The ones at the bottom were removed by YouTube.

It would be nice if the down voters could explain why they down voted.

I'm not holding my breath.

LFTR - Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor

1. Does not operate under pressure.

2. CAN NOT MELT DOWN. Fail safe gravity driven shutdown.

3. Self regulating - no control rods.

4. 98% - 99% efficient instead of uranium fast breeder reactor's .5% - .7% efficient.

5. Waste makes lousy bombs. Hard to handle, damages electronics and very easy to detect.

6. Waste is primarily Plutonium 238 used to power ion drive space craft like Voyager etc.

There is very little or no supply left. NASA has big problem.

Waste also includes:

Molybdenum 99 used in medical imaging. There is little or no supply left.

Bismuth 213 used in beta particle cancer irradiation. Unique in this capability and only

found in the decay of Uranium 233. Bismuth 213 is also really good for hard to treat

cancer like blood cancer e.g., leukemia etc. and other hard to treat cancers e.g., pancreatic

cancer etc. The waste from LFTR is more valuable that the Thorium that you start with.

7. Thorium is extremely plentiful, as opposed to Uranium 235.

8. Would save the US rare earth mining industry, which is currently in a state of collapse.

9. Would stop China from siphoning off our hi-tech industry.

10. Will burn/convert waste in sites like Yucca Mountain.

11. China is moving rapidly to finish the recycling stage and it will cost the US 10s or 100s of

billions for the patent fees for finishing a US invention.

I killed all reporting to Mozilla ages ago, as I do to everyone, by default.

Here is the about:telemetry response.

This page shows the information about performance...

Telemetry is collecting release data and upload is disabled.

No reporting, no problem... so far anyway.

Re: Outlook.com email was screwed up on Sunday night/Monday for me

"What do you do for email? Run your own server?"

I almost didn't bother to sign on, but...

Get a client. Run POP and set it to leave the messages on the server or delete after x time. There are several free clients. Thunderbird seems to do a decent job, at least until they kill it. If you are really concerned, then back up the mail folders periodically. It's also a hell of a lot more user friendly.

The real battle of Android's future – who controls the updates

Samsung S3 Currently Running Nougat 7.1.2

I have a Samsung S3 that has gone through Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow & Nougat. I believe the run is over, but I can't complain. I have gotten the latest security updates every month. I did have to update the modem firmware for Nougat. I also don't have all of the Android gapps bloat installed. Not even gapps lite. I downloaded the .apks from the play store that I want and just reinstall them directly.

I don't believe there is a way to fix the OS update problem, because there is a strong disincentive for manufacturers and vendors to participate. They are in the business of "selling" phones after all. I had an agent from Verizon saying that the S3 wasn't powerful enough to run Marshmallow so we know the company line.

The issue isn't the ambient light sensor. The ambient light sensor is just the foot in the door, obviously.

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right

We had the last eight years of the left wing screwing us at every turn. The list is too long. to post. So we vote in the right wing and they pull this crap along with forcing us to give our DNA to the insurance companies to help us with "wellness".

All I can say is I'm stunned. Really speechless.

@Ian Michael Gumby Re: Kinda misses the point

Obamacare/ACA is in a death spiral and is collapsing. No point in having a health care market when you have no insurance companies willing to provide coverage at a loss. Removing ACA is the best thing Trump and Congress can do.

You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately, our hero Obama doesn't understand basic economics. The young and healthy were supposed to have their wealth taken to support the poor and infirm. The kids, even though they are for the idea, are not for participating so they didn't. Big surprise... wait... no... basic human nature. It was doomed to failure before it even started. That's why they added the "penalty"... uh... I mean the "extra tax" for not participating. Unfortunately the penalty wasn't large enough so it still failed. It is going to cost many many billions to fix it and that will be blamed on Trump, of course.

Replacing it with something... that's the hard part because Obama did way to much damage, which was his plan in the first place.

Sorry pal, fixing Obama's socialized healthcare abortion (no pun intended) does not require the insane Draconian action to take DNA samples and use them too determine fitness for employment. Yeah, I know, it's just to help tailor healthcare to help lower costs. Well... Bullshit! It's a money grab plain and simple. This has astronomically far reaching consequences. No sane person, anywhere, can possibly think that this is a good idea.

US apparently claims to be one but I guess we can taken as proven that that is just a very cynical marketing statement)

The US isn't a democracy and never has been. It's a republic. A federal republic to be exact.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic

With the United States Declaration of Independence the leaders of the revolt firmly rejected the monarchy and embraced republicanism...

Apparently, Switzerland isn't a Democracy either.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switzerland

Switzerland (/ˈswɪtsərlənd/), officially the Swiss Confederation, is a federal republic in Europe. It consists of 26 cantons, and the city of Bern is the seat of the federal authorities.

Oooops.
