After 32+ years in business, we have seen our share of exits by OEM's. This is one we predicted a few years ago after we lost a major account to them. I for one, will watch for a "Brand X" to appear soon, using the Dell and Lexmark models as a base.
On the bright side, we now might have a chance reacquire this account...or at least a portion of it. Others like us who have stood the test of time (not selling out) are still standing firm. Trust the transition will be swift for all.
