I find the alerts are much better on Android too. The BYOD "Work" profile is also pretty good (I don't BYOM, it means you can use >1 WhatsApp number on the same phone).

Going back the other way... I do miss iMessage (or rather the people who won't use anything) and also the "Wallet" feature when on my iPhone. I find some of the nagging for reviews and photos of places on Android infuriating (until it all got turned off).

I wanted to buy an iPhone last year as the XR has (almost) dual sim, I took one look at the cost and bought an Android phone... I'm sure I'm not the only one.

An unscientific look at my FB feed last year would show people complaining about the lack of a "SE2" in addition.

That's good for analysts with Python knowledge, but Tableau, R Shiny, Spotfire etc. all provide nice visualisations for non-programmers.

Google thinks a commute from Regiate to Uxbridge tomorrow morning will take from 50 mins to almost two hours, with public transport taking sightly longer. That kind of commute is no life so I guess they'll either have to move or take redundancy... Poor staff.

I had a tour around a Swiss University's shiny new datacentre. Apparently they asked the architects to reuse the heat, they responded by asking if they could guarantee that the computers in there in a couple of decades time would be similar and they had to answer no. Sadly the heat now just warms the local city...

But of course the US and China's trade war is making those godDRAM oversupply issues worse

The A39 is also pretty awful. They even semi admitted it as they route traffic to Falmouth further to the west of Truro.

They also seem determined to eliminate any traffic movement going west of Truro on the A390 with a billion traffic lights and roundabouts...
