I have a friend who went through an assessment for her PIP renewal (despite her consultant doctor advising the DWP against it). The process was so traumatic for her that she ended up in psychiatric hospital. She (thanks to the help of her MP) did manage to keep the PIP, but any potential saving in PIP was dwarfed by the cost of inpatient care for months... Moreover, before this happened she was employed, after she was released from hospital she was unemployed until she recovered enough to work again and therefore got even more money from the state compared to if the DWP have done nothing.
I once worked for a company whose software stored metadata with each lab result, one customer made their database run like a dog by putting in temperature to IIRC 5 decimal places. The DB was designed for storing a few 10s or 100s of value in here and you can imagine how big it got.

This sounds like America so they'd probably think it sounds too like metric units and use something nonsensical and assume it's the worldwide standard (see also dates, paper sizes etc)
I used to work next to a factory building that was being demolished. The basement was so solid they didn't really know how to get rid of it. Eventually they tried explosives, but it didn't do much. So they went into Full Clarkson Mode™ and used more. They put the warning siren on so lots of excited geeks rushed to the side of the building to watch, all of whom ducked when a shower of stones hit the side of our building.
They later decided to cancel the explosives as apparently it took out sensitive experiments in a nearby lab building - not because a load of geeks nearly got a shower of stones!
A few years ago, a colleague got a stern email from IT saying they'd found MP3s on her computer and that they needed to be deleted ASAP or her manager/HR would be informed...
The selfsame IT guy then came to her desk and told her to leave them there until the next day before deleting them "in case she had anything good"
I used to be mega-organised with all my finance stuff, I could go back and find a bill in seconds. Then one day I thought to myself "When was the last time I needed to find a bank statement from 2009?" and stopped pretty much immediately! Now I just scan the stuff I know I'll need for my tax return and then dump everything into a file. The end result is that I don't waste time on pointless organisation.
