"Clearly it will land in Northern France as predicted by Vitalstatistix."
If it does then they could call it an Obelix.

Not if "history" is defined as "wars that the Americans think that they won."
Hey Captain why haven't we seen any British soldiers yet?
Ahhh, don't be ignorant, everyone knows that the Second World War was fought entirely by American actors"
Personally I prefer to run Office 2010 myself over the later versions which seem to run endlessly slower on ever faster hardware.
What Intel Giveth, Microsoft Taketh Away. A bit old, but I'm sure its conclusion still holds.

A very good question and I have no idea of the answer. One potential data point is that many ISPs bundle IPTV with their services which must increase bandwidth requirements. For my own usage, upload speed is far more important as I have a photography habit and do a lot of backups to the cloud.
"I suggest at these speeds the only competition is in the marketing claims: our network is faster than the competition..."
I suspect that for many home users this is the case. For someone like a graphic designer or videographer I can see how having cheap and fast Internet is hugely useful.
"The S7 and S8 '"will can haz" dual sims if you go for the dual sim version, I think aimed primarily at the Asian market but available over in Europe too if you look around."
In much of Europe the EU rules around roaming have lowered the need for a second sim.
The Word's Online Video function instead opens an Internet Explorer window and plays the video that way.The downside of this is that a canny adversary can use this window to run a coin miner. It's a bit limited, in that the user has to be actively watching the video for the coin miner to work, but it's a good example of how sneaky these digital thieves are getting.
If your staff are already opening Word documents from outside of the organisation and then following links then you’ve probably already got a bigger problem than someone mining coins.
“Unless, of course, your job is to do digital editing/enhancement of porn. Then your machine should be full of the stuff!”
I used to vaguely know a guy whose job that was. Apparently he went from being an avid consumer to “meh” very quickly!
I also know someone who went to work for a well known smut emporium* who loves his job (tonnes of data, busy websites, security etc).
*They have a “castle” in San Francisco, so many of El Reg’s SF office are probably “familiar” with it ;)
"And Berlusconi is moving back into politics."
You mean he who sued the Economist for saying that he "is unfit to lead Italy" and then lost? :)
